Unveiling a Shocking Scheme: Iran's Revolutionary Guard Encourages Jihad in the UK, Defying Terrorism Bans
A chilling revelation has emerged, exposing a mouthpiece of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) advocating for jihad on the streets of London and other major Western cities. This call to arms comes in retaliation for the ongoing war, as reported by GB News.
The timing is crucial, as it precedes Keir Starmer's sudden approval for the US to utilize the Chagos Islands' Diego Garcia base to launch 'defensive' strikes against Iranian missile and drone facilities. This decision has sparked controversy, with former US President Donald Trump expressing disappointment.
Amidst growing pressure to designate the IRGC as a terror group, especially after state-sanctioned killings of protestors in January and Iran's recent regional strikes, this latest threat intensifies the demand. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp emphasizes the IRGC's role as a global terrorism exporter and urges their ban.
Here's what we've uncovered so far:
On Saturday, following US-Israeli strikes that killed Iran's Supreme Leader, direct threats targeting Britain were issued via a Telegram channel linked to the IRGC. These threats included calls for jihad.
This channel, known for sharing IRGC-related content in English, covers operations, surveillance, regional conflicts, and anti-Western sentiments. The intel was shared by MEMRI, a Washington-based nonprofit monitoring extremist content, with the think tank Facts4EU, which has ties to US intelligence organizations.
An IRGC-affiliated user, 'Enemy Watch - Official', posted: 'When you are no longer alive, there's no reason to live - it's time for jihad.' They urged supporters in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Shi'ite communities worldwide to rise up and target embassies and assets of perceived enemies.
The escalation is linked to the widening war in Iran, with Iran launching missile and drone attacks on nine countries after US-Israeli strikes on military and political targets.
